Rev. P. Desmond Parker is our Representative on the Mid Maine District.

Rev. Parker was born in Nottingham, England and has been a Methodist since age three. He graduated from the Richmond Methodist Theological College in 1960 and served churches in the Shetland Islands and Yorkshire before coming to America in 1966. In addition to serving the local church, he has also served on the Maine Conference Board of Trustees and the Board of Directors of Methodist Conference Home in Rockland. He retired in 2000, served three interims and is now appointed to the Monmouth and East Monmouth Churches in Maine. He has a particular interest in the Wesley's and eighteenth Century British Methodism. Desmond and wife Mary and have a blended family of six children and seven grand children.
