
Dr. Thomas J. Gallen is the Executive Director of the Preachers’ Aid Society of New England. Thom has served parishes in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New England in addition to being on the staff of the General Board of Global Ministries and the former Southern New England Annual Conference. Over the years he has received degrees from Lycoming College, Drew University and the Chicago Theological Seminary. He provides overall staff supervision with primary responsibilities in the area of Development and Planned Giving.
Ms. Catherine MacGovern is Associate Executive Director of the Society. Cathy is a Diaconal Minister in the United Methodist Church and has a background and training in social work. Cathy is the longest serving staff member of the Society and oversees its grants program, visitation and educational endeavors. She works mainly with active ministers and programming in spiritual nurture and faith development.
The Reverend Catherine Anderson is Director of Clergy Family Services for the northern regions of the New England Annual Conference. A native of Connecticut, Cathy served several parishes in Maine prior to coming with the Society. She also works with several of our retiree groups.
Ms. Lisa Parker is Director of Clergy Family services in the southern areas of our Annual Conference. Lisa holds an MSW degree and brings those skills and training to her ministry among our retired pastors. She also facilitates the work of several of our retiree organizations.
Ms. Rebecca Hewett is the Office Administrator for the Preachers’ Aid Society. She is the principal coordinator for all administrative functions needed to maintain a smoothly flowing program to serve our pastors and especially our retirees. In addition to her many involvements in her local congregation, Rebecca is District Director of Lay Speaking in the RISEM District of our Conference.

The Reverend Charlie Fowlie is our Executive Director Emeritus and now serves as a consultant in planned giving. He works with those persons and families who are considering bequests and gift annuities to the Society.
Ms. Diane Peak is our consultant in Pension and Health Insurance programs. Diane gives counsel and guidance to individuals and families who are experiencing difficulty making full use of their benefit programs. She recently retired after many years of service to our church as Conference benefits officer.
